The Hobgoblin Manifesto

For Chris, the most Puckish person I know and who I am proud to call my friend.

A Hobgoblin is mischevous from birth
We never mean to harm, but to disrupt,
To muddle up the stasis of the Earth
That others may solve problems they gave up.

A Hobgoblin defies all expectations
Of ugliness and meanness, seeming fair
Creating mirth and joyful celebrations
Whatever else may linger here and there.

A Hobgoblin lives moments day to day
And unintended consequences show.
We own our actions, learn, then seek a way
To make amends, if others will allow.

A Hobgoblin loves fools, and gives them ears
If jackasses they are, and such ears fit
Remembering that when enchantment clears
We’re still fools too – at least a little bit.

A Hobgoblin forgives. One silly act
Does not a person’s whole or part define.
We offer peace, if others will retract;
To err is human; to forgive divine.

Sairly well done Sor calling my name, and I doeth respond. My hopes that Salstaff will get over his gout, Sor a system without sorgiveness does not have usable interface.

My Sirst Siction was of my love for Mistletoe and my punishment os quiet sor blinding her in a Sit os drunken jealousy. As I sit waiting sor Oberon to return, sor he must for Titania’s sake, I do so playing hide me seek me with the constraint. Sor once Oberon realises that Saerie is no longer under his control, he will have to jig to another’s tune.

And so until you unlock another name, I will create options sor our once and Suture king.

    Liz,

I’ve followed your blog stealthily (Is that a word? Hmm.) for some time, and I just wanted to say thank you for this, because here 3 months later, it applies to me today.
I hereby join the ranks of the Hobgoblin, for whom “Agent of Change” is how their badge reads. (I know, bad “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. reference, sorry.).

    Cheers, and Carry on.

    Marcelo
